David Menke is a German film score composer, music editor, and sound engineer. Born in Cologne, Germany in 1982, he began his musical journey by playing violin and piano at a young age, later moving on to jazz saxophone. He studied Tonmeister (Recording Producer) in Vienna and Paris, eventually working with renowned composer Gabriel Yared on films like "Judy," "By the sea," and "The Happy Prince." As a composer, Menke has recently scored several films, including "Heureux Gagnants" and "Belle et Sébastien – Nouvelle Génération." His work encompasses over 80 films, and he operates through his production company, PDV Records, based in Paris and Vienna.
Menke's recent releases reflect his diverse involvement in film scoring, including titles such as "Tigres et Hyènes," "Sieger sein," "The Ballad of Linda L.," and "The Devil Inside Me." His contributions span across various genres and languages, solidifying his position as a versatile composer in the industry.
