Bartosz Michałowski

Bartosz Michałowski is a prominent Polish choral conductor and director, best known as the founder, conductor, and Artistic Director of the Poznań Chamber Choir, and the Director of the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir since 2017. He graduated with distinction in choral conducting from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. Between 1998 and 2005, Michałowski was an assistant to Professor Stefan Stuligrosz and conductor of the Poznań Philharmonic Choir, performing across Europe and Japan. His achievements include winning the L’Orphée d’Or 2015 in Paris and a Fryderyk Award for the opera *Hagith* by Karol Szymanowski. Additionally, he is the founder of the Opus 966 Polish Composer Competition and has been involved in various educational projects.

Michałowski has directed numerous choral and vocal-instrumental performances, including works by renowned composers. His recent collaborations and releases may include recordings such as *The Adoration*, *Rossini - Petite messe solennelle*, and *Maurice Duruflé - Requiem*. Michałowski is also a lecturer at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and has participated in prestigious festivals across Europe. His contributions to choral music are marked by a strong emphasis on vocal technique and contemporary music performances.
