Eugene Goossens
Eugene Goossens was a British composer, conductor, and violinist who lived from 1893 to 1962. He was known for his eclectic style, which incorporated elements of impressionism, neoclassicism, and jazz. Goossens was also a prolific conductor, leading many of the world's leading orchestras. He was particularly associated with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, which he conducted from 1931 to 1947. Goossens's compositions include symphonies, concertos, operas, and chamber music. His music is often characterized by its lush orchestration and melodic beauty.
