Stardeath and White Dwarfs is an experimental rock band based out of Norman, Oklahoma. Known for their psychedelic sound, the group is fronted by Dennis Coyne, who happens to be the nephew of Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips. Their music blends spacey textures with heavy, fuzzed-out guitars and electronic elements, creating a sound that's trippy, loud, and uniquely their own.
They gained wider recognition through their collaboration with The Flaming Lips, Henry Rollins, and Peaches on a reinvention of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon in 2009. Their debut album, The Birth, was released the same year, showcasing their flair for cosmic rock and boundary-pushing production. Over the years, they’ve continued releasing music and collaborating within the Oklahoma psych-rock scene, maintaining a cult following for their immersive, genre-blending style.
