Robert Jindra is a Prague-born conductor (1977) who's made a big name for himself in the opera world, starting with studies in classical singing and conducting at the Prague Conservatory. Since 2001, he's been a key figure at the National Theatre in Prague, leading hits like Smetana's *Two Widows*, Mozart's *Così fan tutte*, Janáček's *Jenůfa* and *Káťa Kabanová*, Dvořák's *Rusalka*, and plenty more, including world premieres and galas—he even served as Music Director there in 2013/14 and again from 2022/23 onward.
He's held major posts like Music Director at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava (2010-14), First Kapellmeister at Aalto Musiktheater in Essen (2019-21), and Chief Conductor of the Košice State Philharmonic (2021-24), while guesting at spots like Bayerische Staatsoper, Norwegian Opera, and upcoming debuts at Wiener Staatsoper and more. These days, he's also Principal Guest Conductor of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, bringing his passion for Czech composers and beyond to thrilled audiences everywhere.
