Kristoffer Kompen

Kristoffer Kompen is a Norwegian jazz trombonist and composer born on August 14, 1984, in Oslo. He has made a name for himself in the Norwegian jazz scene through his work with various bands such as Jazzin' Babies, Staffan William-Olsson Sextet, and Kåre Nymark Band, as well as leading his own groups like the Kompen Quintet and the Swedish-Norwegian Union Rhythm Kings. His music blends traditional jazz influences with contemporary expressions, and he has released notable albums including *Short Stories of Happiness* (2011) and *A Tribute to Jack Teagarden* (2013), which honors the legendary jazz trombonist Jack Teagarden.
