Hecatomb

Hecatomb is a brutal death metal band formed in April 1999 in İzmir, Turkey. The band has undergone some lineup changes over the years, with notable members including Ulaş İşıklar on vocals, Rıfat Şahin and Cem Gökden on guitars, Emin Köklü on bass, and Cem Devrim Dursun (also known as Goremaster) on drums. Hecatomb's music style blends old school death metal with American brutal influences. Their discography includes significant albums such as "Decomposed in Hecatomb" (2003), "Impaled Apocalypse" (2006), and "Mighty Chaos" (2011). "Impaled Apocalypse" is particularly notable as a concept album focused on Vlad Dracula's life. The band has performed live in multiple venues, including a show with Rotting Christ, and released a live DVD titled "Face the Live Chaos" in 2012.

Hecatomb's releases are well-received in the death metal community, and they have been associated with labels like Poem Productions and Nice to Eat You Records. The band's work is often recommended to fans of Deicide and Cannibal Corpse due to its intense and brutal style. Additionally, vocalist Ulaş İşıklar has also ventured into writing, releasing a vampire novel titled "Gece Gelen" ("Night Comer"), which reflects some of the themes found in their music.
