Elfa Zulham is a renowned Indonesian jazz and free jazz musician from Jakarta. He has established himself as a prominent figure in the Indonesian music scene, particularly known for his work as a drummer. Zulham grew up in a musical family and has been involved in jazz since his early days, even participating in jazz competitions and festivals with his brothers in the ERZ Brothers Band. He graduated cum laude from the jazz department of the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, The Netherlands, in 2010. Zulham is also a member of the Batavia Collective, where he collaborates with Doni Joesran and Kenny Gabriel, blending jazz with other influences like Drum and Bass. Additionally, he serves as the music director for Java Jazz, one of the largest jazz festivals in Southeast Asia.
Zulham's musical journey has been influenced by his experiences playing with legendary figures in Indonesia's jazz scene, such as Indra Lesmana and Yance Manusama. His drumming style is inspired by UK music, particularly Drum and Bass, which he has been listening to since childhood.
