Valentin M. Bogdan is a renowned pianist and composer from Romania. He began his performing career as a teenager, touring with the orchestra of the "Tudor Ciortea Music Lyceum of Brasov" across Europe and Asia. Bogdan holds degrees from Wayne State University, Michigan State University, and the University of Miami, including a D.M.A. from the University of Miami. Throughout his career, he has been awarded prizes in various piano competitions and has performed as a soloist with orchestras in Bulgaria and the United States. His compositions have been premiered by notable ensembles, including the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra and the Grambling State University Wind Ensemble. He has released several recordings, such as "The Grands of Piano" and "Live in Concert," though it appears his recent releases include titles like "Romanian Piano Music of the Past and Present" and "In Concert."
Currently, Bogdan serves as a professor of music at Mississippi University for Women, where he is also involved in community outreach programs like "Music for All Ages." His research focuses on 20th-century Romanian composers and music industry practices.
