Ivo Nilsson

Ivo Nilsson, born in 1966 in Stockholm, Sweden, is a powerhouse trombonist and composer who's made waves in the contemporary classical scene. He burst onto the stage with his solo debut alongside the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra in 1989, right after studying at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and IRCAM in Paris, and he's been pushing boundaries ever since with his precise, innovative takes on modern music—think meticulously crafted tones and timbres.
