Sobrecarga

La Sobrecarga, often stylized as SOBR∑CARGÄ, is an Argentine band that originated in the early 1980s, specifically in Trenque Lauquen, Buenos Aires. They are primarily associated with the new wave and post-punk genres. The band's activity spans several periods: they were most active from 1983 to 1988, briefly reunited in the mid-1990s, and then officially resumed their career in 2010. La Sobrecarga is known for their influential albums *Sentidos congelados* (1986) and *Mentirse y creerse* (1987), which garnered significant attention during the 1980s Argentine rock scene. One of their ex-members includes Horacio Villafañe, a notable Argentine musician. The group has continued to perform and release music over the years.

La Sobrecarga's music often features dark and moody tones, reflecting their influence on the dark wave scene. Their songs, like "Conexión París" and "Viajando hacia el este," have become iconic in Argentine rock history. Despite disbanding briefly, La Sobrecarga has maintained a strong presence in the Argentine music scene, particularly among fans of post-punk and new wave music.
