Imari Tones

Imari Tones is a Christian heavy metal band from Japan, known for being one of the first openly Christian heavy metal bands in the country. The band's history began as a solo project by Takahiro "Tone" Nakamine in 1998, but it officially formed as a band in 2004. Initially, Imari Tones was not a Christian band; however, after Tone became a Christian in 2007, the band shifted towards creating Christian music. Their music style is a blend of 1980s classic heavy metal and hard rock, with influences from alternative rock and J-pop. The band's name is inspired by both Japanese porcelain art and Tone's wife, Imari.

Imari Tones has released several albums and has been active in the music scene since their formation. Despite operating in a challenging environment due to Japan's predominantly non-Christian population, the band remains committed to their faith and music. They have gained a dedicated fan base worldwide, appreciating their unique blend of heavy metal and Christian themes. The band's journey is marked by a strong sense of purpose and a passion for creating music that reflects their beliefs.
