LANY

LANY, an American indie pop band originating from Los Angeles, California, derives their band name from the combination of the two cities on opposite coasts—Los Angeles and New York—synthesizing a bicoastal vibe that resonates within their dreamy and synth-infused sound. The group was formed in 2014 when Paul Jason Klein, who hails from Tulsa, Oklahoma, teamed up with Nashville natives Jake Goss and Les Priest. Their music quickly captured attention for its blend of 80s synth-pop with a modern twist, anchored by Klein's heartfelt lyricism and the band's polished production.

The band debuted with the EP "Acronymns" in 2014, followed by two more EPs in 2015, which included the hit song "ILYSB." Their self-titled debut album arrived in 2017 and established them as a force on streaming platforms, with tracks that radiated with unguarded emotion and slick pop craftsmanship. LANY has since released a string of successful projects, including "Malibu Nights" in 2018 and "Mama's Boy" in 2020, with an ever-growing fanbase drawn to their narrative-driven songs that capture the highs and lows of love and loss. Their recent releases, such as "a beautiful blur (deluxe)" and "Home Is Where The Hurt Is," continue to chart their evolution as a band that connects deeply and authentically with their audience, securing their standing in the indie pop landscape.
