The Creatures were an experimental musical duo formed in 1981, consisting of Siouxsie Sioux and Budgie, both of whom were also members of the influential post-punk band Siouxsie and the Banshees. The Creatures allowed the pair to explore a more percussive, stripped-down sound, often incorporating tribal rhythms and atmospheric textures. They made their debut with the EP Wild Things, and later released several full-length albums, including Feast (1983), Boomerang (1989), and Anima Animus (1999).
Known for their adventurous sonic palette and Siouxsie's distinctive vocals, The Creatures carved out a unique niche in alternative music. Their 2003 album Hái! marked their final release before disbanding in the mid-2000s. The duo's music remains respected for its innovation and for showcasing a different aspect of Siouxsie and Budgie's artistic range beyond their work with the Banshees.
