Keith Leblanc

Keith LeBlanc is an innovative American drummer and record producer who earned recognition in the music industry as a pioneer of industrial, hip-hop, and electronic music. His career took flight in the 1980s when he became an integral part of the Sugar Hill Records house band, playing on quintessential tracks for iconic hip-hop artists such as Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. LeBlanc's work on "The Message" and other seminal tracks contributed greatly to the foundation of hip-hop music.

Branching out from his hip-hop roots, LeBlanc became a key member of the industrial collective Tackhead, contributing his distinctive, rhythm-based approach to their sound. Over the years, his solo work, which includes important releases like "Major Malfunction" – an album inspired by the Challenger Space Shuttle disaster – has continued to push the boundaries of genre and technique. His more recent releases, such as "Strip Mall Church (Vocal) [Keith LeBlanc Prophet Siren Remix]," "Spike Global 2000," and "Tasteless Cuts," showcase his continued evolution as an artist unafraid to experiment and innovate, fusing elements of electronica, industrial sounds, and thought-provoking samples. LeBlanc's eclectic and influential career has cemented his status as a true pioneer in the world of music production and drumming.
