Stuck Mojo is an American heavy metal band from Atlanta, Georgia, that formed in 1989 by bassist Dwayne Fowler and guitarist Rich Ward. The band is widely recognized as one of the early pioneers of rap metal, blending the intensity and aggression of heavy metal with the rhythmic and lyrical stylings of hip-hop. Stuck Mojo established their reputation through a fierce, energetic sound and a confrontational stage presence, led for many years by frontman Bonz.
Their musical journey includes a number of full-length albums that have left a significant imprint on the heavy music scene. Stuck Mojo's debut album, "Snappin' Necks," released in 1995, set the tone for their aggressive fusion of genres. They went on to garner acclaim with records like "Pigwalk" (1996) and "Rising" (1998), the latter of which solidified their standing in the metal community and expanded their fanbase internationally. The band experienced several line-up changes over the years, and after a period of inactivity, they returned with renewed vigor with "Southern Born Killers" in 2007, followed by "The Great Revival" in 2008. Marking another return after a hiatus, Stuck Mojo released "Here Come the Infidels" in 2016, reaffirming their commitment to their unique blend of metal and rap and their relevance in the evolving music landscape. Despite enduring various transformations and the challenges of an ever-changing music industry, Stuck Mojo's impact and legacy in the fusion genre endures.
