Inbal Megiddo

Inbal Megiddo is an internationally acclaimed cellist known for her vibrant performances and extensive educational background. She began playing the cello at the age of two and gave her first performances a year later. Megiddo holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from Yale University, where she had the opportunity to study with renowned teachers such as Professor Aldo Parisot and collaborate with artists like Erick Friedman and Daniel Barenboim. Her professional career has been marked by performances with major orchestras and at prominent concert halls worldwide, including the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and the Lincoln Center in New York.

Megiddo is also recognized for her impressive discography, which includes critically acclaimed recordings like the Beethoven Cello Sonatas and Variations with pianist Jian Liu, and more recently, her rendition of Bach's Cello Suites, scheduled for release in 2025. She serves as Associate Professor and Head of Cello Studies at the New Zealand School of Music, Victoria University of Wellington, where she also teaches a course on 'Music and Conflict' focusing on music related to war and suffering.
