Archaic Thorn

Archaic Thorn is a German occult death metal band formed in 2010 in Saxony. The group consists of CL on guitars, MF handling vocals and bass, and TR on drums. They started out practicing covers but quickly moved to writing their own material, releasing their first demo, *Hydra Throats*, in 2013, followed by the EP *In Desolate Magnificence* in 2015. Their debut full-length album, *Eradication*, came out in 2020 through Darkness Shall Rise Productions, showcasing their raw, morbid take on death metal. After a five-year wait, they released their sophomore album, *Malicious Spears*, in 2025 on High Roller Records, featuring sharp production and artwork by Australian artist Rok, known for his work with Sadistik Exekution. Their music is characterized by bone-crushing riffs, an organic yet polished sound, and occult themes centered on death, darkness, and chaos.
