Dwarves

The Dwarves are a notorious American punk rock band known for their raw energy, provocative lyrics, and wild live shows. Originally formed in the mid-1980s in Chicago, they started out playing garage rock under the name Suburban Nightmare before evolving into a hardcore punk outfit. Fronted by the charismatic and outrageous Blag Dahlia (a.k.a. Blag the Ripper) and long-time guitarist HeWhoCannotBeNamed, the band quickly earned a cult following with their confrontational style and over-the-top performances.

Throughout their career, the Dwarves have consistently pushed boundaries both musically and lyrically, blending hardcore punk with elements of garage rock, noise, and even pop. Albums like The Dwarves Are Young and Good Looking, The Dwarves Must Die, and The Dwarves Invented Rock & Roll showcase their knack for mixing catchy riffs with chaotic punk aggression. Despite lineup changes and controversies over the years, the Dwarves have remained fiercely independent and defiantly entertaining, continuing to tour and release music well into the 21st century.
