Born in 1994 in Oujda, he drew inspiration from American rap and grew to become a multi-platinum producer. Yo Asel gained significant attention when he sued French Montana for allegedly stealing the beat of his song "Lockjaw," which was released in 2016. The lawsuit claimed that French Montana used Yo Asel's production without proper credit or compensation.

Recently, Yo Asel has been active in releasing music, including a series of singles titled "Friday Guest" and other tracks like "Rehab" and "7 Days." His work spans genres, particularly hip-hop and rap, and he has collaborated with various artists.
