Saúl Callejas, full name Humberto Saúl Callejas Oropeza, is a renowned Bolivian charango player, singer, and composer born on February 15, 1967, in Colquiri, La Paz. Influenced by his musician father, he developed a deep connection to Bolivian folk music and mastered the charango from age 17. He has been part of several important groups like Jach'a Mallku, Wara, and Inti Bolivia, and also has a successful solo career marked by albums such as *Mis Ansias* (2001) and recent live recordings like *Abrazando El Folclor (En Vivo En Acóplate)* (2025).
