Cristiano Alves

Cristiano Alves is a highly regarded Brazilian clarinetist, born in Rio de Janeiro and shaped by the teachings of José Carlos de Castro. His career highlights include serving as first clarinet soloist in the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra for over 15 years and currently with the Petrobras Symphonic Orchestra. In addition to his orchestral roles, Alves is also an active educator, teaching clarinet at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and regularly leads masterclasses at major Brazilian music festivals like the Mostra Internacional de Música em Olinda and the Festival de Campos do Jordão.
