Tages were a Swedish rock band that became one of the biggest acts in Scandinavia during the 1960s. Formed in Gothenburg in 1963, the group—originally consisting of Tommy Blom (vocals), Göran Lagerberg (bass), Danne Larsson (guitar), Anders Töpel (guitar), and Lasse Svensson (drums)—blended British Invasion energy with catchy pop hooks. They scored early hits like "Sleep Little Girl" and "I Should Be Glad," becoming pioneers of Sweden’s vibrant beat music scene. Known for their sharp suits and polished sound, Tages evolved over the 1960s, experimenting with psychedelic and baroque pop elements on albums like *Contrast* (1967) and *Studio* (1967).
Despite their success, the band faced lineup changes and internal tensions, leading to their breakup in 1968. Some members later formed the progressive rock group Blond. Tages left a lasting legacy as trailblazers of Swedish pop, influencing generations of artists. Their discography, including releases like *Extra Extra* and *Tages 2*, remains a time capsule of Sweden’s swinging ‘60s sound.
