Rattus is a Finnish hardcore punk band formed in 1978 in Vilppula. The band's original lineup included Jake Marjamäki, Veli-Pekka Hyvärinen, and Tomppa, with Jari "Viri" Virkki joining as a singer. Over the years, Rattus has had various members, with notable contributions from Anssi "Annikki" Nieminen. The band disbanded in 1988 but reunited in 2001. Their discography includes albums like *WC räjähtää*, *Uskonto on vaara*, and *Stolen Life*. Recently, they have released works such as *Rikki*, *Turta*, and re-releases of some of their classic albums.
