Andrea Cicalese

Andrea Cicalese is a talented Italian violinist born in Naples in 2005, known for his virtuosic skill and expressive playing. He began violin studies at age seven after moving to Germany and was quickly recognized as a prodigy, becoming the youngest student ever admitted to the Perosi Music Academy at age eleven. He has won top prizes, including first place in the German Young Musician Competition, and made impressive debuts performing major concertos in prestigious halls like Munich's Gasteig and the Berliner Philharmonie. Andrea studies under Josef Rissin at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Karlsruhe and often performs across Europe and the U.S., playing a historic 1731 Guarneri ‘Del Gesú’ violin on loan.

His performances blend technical precision with deep musical sensitivity, earning praise for pieces like Tartini's Devil’s Trill Sonata and collaborations with leading orchestras and conductors.
