The Primitives are an English indie pop band that emerged in the mid-1980s. Fronted by the charismatic Tracy Tracy, the band quickly gained a cult following with their infectious melodies and jangly guitars. Their debut album, "Lovely," released in 1988, became a critical and commercial success, spawning hit singles like "Crash" and "Way Behind Me." The Primitives continued to release critically acclaimed albums throughout the late '80s and early '90s, including "Pure" and "Galore," before disbanding in 1992. They reunited in 2009 and have since released several new albums and toured extensively, proving that their timeless pop sound continues to resonate with fans around the world.
