Lele Battista is an Italian singer, songwriter, musician, and producer born in Milan in 1975. He first made his mark in the late 1990s as the lead singer and creative force behind the band La Sintesi, with whom he reached the stage of the Sanremo Festival, Italy’s most famous music competition, performing the song “Ho mangiato la mia ragazza”. The band released two albums, including “(NOYS/Sony, 1999)” and “L’eroe romantico,” before Battista embarked on a solo career.
As a solo artist, Battista has steadily released introspective and musically adventurous albums, blending electronic elements with thoughtful, often poetic lyrics. Notable works include “Le ombre” (2006), “Mi do mi medio mi mento” (2016), and more recent efforts like “Frammenti” and “Entra Pure” (both 2025), which showcase his continued evolution as a writer and musician. Across his discography, Battista is known for writing most of his own lyrics and music, often collaborating with a rotating cast of talented musicians to explore new sounds and textures. Whether performing live as a solo act or in collaboration with other artists, Battista remains a thoughtful and inventive presence in the Italian music scene.
