Amo Socialec, whose real name is Mišel Ristov, is a multifaceted artist from Slovenia. He is known for his work as a rapper, writer, slam poet, actor, and entrepreneur. Born in Ptuj, Amo was raised in various locations around Slovenia, including the Maribor area. His career in music began with notable achievements in freestyle rap battles, including a second-place finish in the National Freestyle Battle Championship in 2009 and a championship win in 2013. Amo has also explored slam poetry, organizing events in Ptuj and becoming a champion in the Slovenian championship in 2017. His discography includes albums like "Horizont" (2010), "En dan..." (2016), and the EP "#projektVida" (2019), as well as collaborations such as the "Sad Porn EP" with LAV (2021).

Amo Socialec's creative endeavors extend beyond music to acting, with roles in theater and film, including the feature "Utrip Ljubezni" in 2015. His versatility and talent have made him a respected figure in Slovenia's hip-hop and poetry scenes. Despite his artistic pursuits, Amo also works as a social worker in a hospital, reflecting his commitment to both creative expression and community service.
