**Biography for Sentries**

**SENTRIES** is a noise rock project based in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, led by solo artist Kim Elliot. The band has been active since 2021 and has gained recognition for their eclectic sound, which blends noise rock with post-punk and other genres. Sentries have released several notable albums, including "Snow as a Metaphor for Death," which received unexpected acclaim in 2024, and are set to release "Gem of the West" in May 2025. Kim Elliot's musical journey began with influences from traditional rock bands, shifting later to include post-punk and electronic elements. His music often explores a mix of styles, reflecting influences from bands like Nine Inch Nails and the Windmill scene.

Kim Elliot's background includes studying music production at the Nimbus School of Recording in Vancouver. Despite originally being from Indianapolis, he moved to Lethbridge at a young age. Sentries are preparing for their first UK tour in August 2025, following the release of "Gem of the West".
