Sinsaenum
Sinsaenum is a supergroup that brings together musicians from across the metal world to deliver a potent mix of death metal and blackened thrash. Formed in 2016, the project was spearheaded by DragonForce bassist Frédéric Leclercq and former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison. The band also features vocalist Sean Zatorsky (Dååth), vocalist Attila Csihar (Mayhem, Sunn O)))), Heimoth of Seth on bass, and guitarist Stéphane Buriez from Loudblast. Their debut album, Echoes of the Tortured, was released in 2016 and quickly caught attention for its ferocious sound and the pedigree of its members.
Sinsaenum followed up with Repulsion for Humanity in 2018, pushing their blend of brutality and groove even further. The band pays homage to old-school death and black metal influences while injecting a modern intensity, and has earned praise for their musicianship and dark, aggressive soundscapes. Tragically, Joey Jordison passed away in 2021, but the legacy of Sinsaenum's unique brand of extreme metal continues to resonate with fans of the genre.
