Waheed Jeelani

Waheed Jeelani is a distinguished Kashmiri music composer, singer, and cultural activist known for his mastery in Sufi, folk, and light classical vocals. Born in Srinagar and raised near the revered Shrine of Alamdar-i-Kashmir Shaikh Noor Din Noorani, his deep connection to Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage is reflected throughout his music. With over 30 years of experience, Jeelani has been dedicated to preserving and promoting the diverse musical traditions of Jammu and Kashmir, often blending various art forms to create a unique and soulful sound.
