Crossfade is an American rock band formed in Columbia, South Carolina, in 1999. The band's musical style can be described as a blend of post-grunge and alternative rock with elements of hard rock and melodic elements that give their sound a distinctly accessible edge. Initially called Sugar Daddy Superstar, the band changed its name to Crossfade in 2002. Their self-titled debut album "Crossfade" was released in 2004, and the single "Cold" brought them into the mainstream spotlight, reaching platinum status and becoming a radio success. The DeeTown Remix of "Cold" featuring Miss Eighty 6 introduced a different audience to their music with its inclusion in various soundtracks and compilations, showcasing the band's crossover appeal.
Following their initial success, Crossfade released their sophomore album, "Falling Away," in 2006, which housed singles such as "Invincible" and "Drown You Out," and continued to cement their position in the rock music scene. After several lineup changes and a period of inactivity, the band released their third studio album, "We All Bleed," in 2011, which demonstrated a darker, more introspective direction in their music. The single "Killing Me Inside" highlighted this evolution with its intense lyrics and powerful instrumentals, yet retained their signature melodic touch. Despite the challenges faced over the years, Crossfade has left a lasting impression on fans with their emotionally charged music and dynamic live performances, maintaining a loyal fanbase and a respected place in the rock genre.
