Pieter Derks

Pieter Derks is a Dutch cabaret artist, writer, and actor born on September 20, 1984, in Wijchen, Gelderland, Netherlands. Known for his sharp wit and engaging performances, Derks has built a solid reputation in the Dutch entertainment scene with a career spanning since 2004. He studied cabaret at the Koningstheateracademie in Den Bosch, won several awards early on including the audience prize at the Wim Sonneveldprijs, and became a familiar face on Dutch television through appearances on shows like "De Wereld Draait Door," where he was a regular guest between 2011 and 2014. In addition to his cabaret work, he has acted in films such as "Prey" (2016) and has written and performed multiple TV specials, including "Voor wat het waard is" in 2021. Derks is also a talented songwriter and musician, as evidenced by recent releases such as the EPs "De halve wereld" (2021) and "Uit het niets" (2023).
