Trio Orelon is an exciting young piano trio formed in Cologne in 2019, consisting of violinist Judith Stapf, cellist Arnau Rovira i Bascompte, and pianist Marco Sanna. The trio’s name comes from Esperanto, meaning "ear," reflecting their deep focus on listening—to each other, the music, and their audiences. Since their formation, they have quickly risen to prominence, winning major international competitions such as the ARD International Music Competition, the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, and the "Franz Schubert and the Modern Music" competition in Graz.
Known for their vibrant energy, emotional intensity, and refined sound, Trio Orelon combines well-known masterpieces with lesser-known repertoire, approaching each work with curiosity and a fresh perspective. Their performances have graced prestigious venues across Europe, including the Tonhalle Düsseldorf and the Konzerthaus Berlin.
