Lemon D is a pioneering figure in the UK drum and bass scene, known for his influential productions and distinctive sound that blends jazzy elements with hard-hitting beats. Emerging in the early 1990s, he made his mark with releases on seminal labels like Metalheadz and Prototype, before becoming a key player in the Full Cycle and Reinforced Records camps. Lemon D is also closely associated with fellow producer Dillinja, and the two co-founded the Valve Recordings label and the iconic Valve Sound System—famous for its massive, bone-rattling bass.

Lemon D's contribution to drum and bass includes standout tracks like “Urban Style Music,” “This Is L.A.,” and “It’s Jazzy,” which showcase his versatility and deep roots in breakbeat culture. His solo work, as well as collaborations under the Valve umbrella, have helped shape the sound of drum and bass over the decades, earning him a lasting reputation as one of the genre’s innovators.
