Dub Syndicate

Dub Syndicate is a formidable name in the world of dub and reggae, known for their pioneering efforts in fusing traditional reggae rhythms with electronic music elements. The project was spearheaded by the legendary Lincoln Valentine "Style" Scott, the phenomenal Jamaican drummer famous for his work with the Roots Radics band and his collaborations with producer Adrian Sherwood. Scott, who sadly passed away in 2014, was the heartbeat of Dub Syndicate, driving the group's sound with his innovative drumming while Sherwood's On-U Sound label provided the space for their auditory experiments to flourish.

Since their inception in the early 1980s, Dub Syndicate has carved out a niche for itself with a distinctive style characterized by an emphasis on heavy bass lines, complex drum patterns, and the creative use of effects and studio wizardry. Their discography is expansive and experimental, with releases like "Fear Of A Green Planet," "Acres Of Space," and "Hard Food" showcasing their ability to evolve and adapt to the changing landscapes of music. Dub Syndicate's music is a continual experiment in sound, a testament to their enduring legacy in the dub genre that ensures their work remains relevant and influential despite changing times and trends in the music industry.
