Darkness Is My Canvas is a progressive melodic rock band founded in Helsinki in 2017 by Pete and Panu, longstanding collaborators who met around 2005 and shared a passion for melodic hooks and strong song structures. The duo evolved from a previous band project between 2012-2016 before shaping their current sound, which blends classic melodic rock with progressive elements inspired by '70s prog rock. They have been steadily releasing thoughtful and well-crafted music, including notable tracks like "The End Of Times," "Ink In The Water," and "Fade into the White Noise," often taking their time to perfect songwriting without pressure.
Their creative process is very collaborative, with mutual respect and openness allowing them to freely explore musical ideas.
