ЖЩ is a Russian metal band formed in 2018. The band's name is an abbreviation of the Russian phrase "Жизненно Необходимая Самооборона" (Vital Self-Defense). ЖЩ's music is characterized by its heavy riffs, aggressive vocals, and dark, introspective lyrics. The band has released several albums and EPs, including "2000 ярдов" (2020), "Дизмораль" (2021), and "Тоска" (2022). ЖЩ has toured extensively throughout Russia and Europe, and has shared the stage with bands such as Arkona, Alkonost, and Butterfly Temple.
