Malphas
Malphas is a symphonic blackened melodic death metal band that was formed in 2012 in Philadelphia by vocalist/guitarist Paul DeSanctis and drummer Eric Dunleavy. The lineup expanded with guitarist Damian DiFrancesco in 2014 and bassist Joshua DeJesus in 2019. Known for their immersive and genre-blending sound, Malphas combines symphonic elements with intense melodic death metal to create a powerful and atmospheric musical experience. They have toured extensively throughout North America and Europe alongside notable acts such as Tengger Cavalry and Keep of Kalessin. Their critically acclaimed sophomore album "Portal," released in 2024 via M-Theory Audio, has been praised for its sophisticated compositions and thematic storytelling centered on a demonic power struggle, solidifying their reputation in the metal scene.
