Die Lungauer

Die Lungauer is a five-piece folk music group hailing from the Lungau region of Salzburg, Austria. Originally formed in 2000 under the name Murtal Express, the band rebranded as Die Lungauer in 2013. They specialize in volkstümliche Musik, a popular style that blends traditional Oberkrainer sounds with more modern schlager elements. The group has released several albums over the years, including "A geile Zeit" in 2013 and "Vom Feinsten" in 2016. In 2017, Die Lungauer was honored with the "Oberkrainer Award" for their contributions to the genre.
