Paul Lewis is an English classical pianist renowned for his performances and recordings of the works of Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, and Johannes Brahms, among other composers. Born in Liverpool on May 20, 1972, Lewis studied at the Chetham’s School of Music and later at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he worked closely with the celebrated pianist Alfred Brendel, who became a mentor.
