Ariane Maurette is a French violist and conductor who specializes in early music. She is the founder and artistic director of the ensemble Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien, which focuses on the performance of Renaissance and Baroque music. Maurette is known for her passionate and expressive playing, as well as her deep understanding of the historical context of the music she performs. She has recorded numerous albums with Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien, including "The Faces of Melancholy" and "Canzone, Sinfonie & Fantasie."
