Skeets McDonald, born Enos William McDonald on October 1, 1915, was an American country and honky-tonk singer and musician who made significant contributions to the music scene in the 1950s and 1960s. Hailing from Greenway, Arkansas, McDonald moved to Detroit during the Great Depression where he began honing his musical talents. His career gained momentum upon moving to California, where he found greater opportunities in the burgeoning country music scene.

Skeets McDonald is best remembered for his hit "Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes," which topped the country charts in 1952 and later became a popular song for other artists across various genres. His country music prowess continued to shine with albums such as "Country Blues Greats," which showcases his authentic storytelling and rustic voice that resonates with the golden era of country music. Albums like "Call Me Skeets!" and "Goin' Steady with the Blues" further display Skeets’s versatility, capturing the ethos of honky-tonk and the emotional depth of the blues.
