Jonathan Summers is a British conductor who has led many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Benjamin Britten, and has recorded several of Britten's operas, including "Peter Grimes" and "Gloriana." Summers is also a passionate advocate for new music, and has commissioned and premiered many works by contemporary composers.
