rei brown is a New York-based, Japanese-American singer, producer, and artist who blends indie pop, alternative electronic, and lo-fi R&B to create a dreamy, captivating sound. Originally from Kobe, Japan, Brown relocated to Boston in 2011 to study songwriting at Berklee College of Music. He began his music career on SoundCloud under the name "raybaboon" before transitioning to rei brown. His debut EP "raybaboon" was released in 2014, kickstarting a series of successful singles and EPs that have collectively garnered over 100 million streams.

Brown's music often explores themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery, with atmospheric sounds, emotive vocals, and introspective lyrics.
