Roberto Seresteiro

Roberto Seresteiro, born Roberto Saglietti Mahn, is a Brazilian musician from Piracicaba, São Paulo. He is deeply rooted in traditional Brazilian music, particularly in the seresta style, which is one of the earliest forms of urban popular music in Brazil. Inspired by his grandfather's collection of old records, Roberto developed a passion for this genre early on. He has performed alongside notable artists such as Inezita Barroso and Cauby Peixoto. His music often features classic rhythms like valsa brasileira, modinha, and samba-canção, drawing from the "Golden Age" of Brazilian music. Roberto is also a journalist and educator, hosting the radio show "Espaço Seresta" and teaching courses on the history of Brazilian popular music.

Roberto Seresteiro's debut album, "Cordiais Saudações," reflects his dedication to preserving and promoting traditional Brazilian music. The album includes collaborations with iconic figures like Agnaldo Rayol and Roberto Luna. His performances and educational endeavors aim to keep these timeless melodies alive, appealing to both old and new audiences. Beyond music, Roberto participates in cultural events and television shows, such as "Canta Comigo," where he appeared as a judge. His recent releases showcase his versatility and commitment to Brazilian musical heritage.
