Ukrainian-born cellist Georgiy Lomakov is recognized for his impressive achievements and numerous awards in music competitions since an early age. He began cello lessons at six and quickly rose to prominence, winning his first international competition by age eight and then the prestigious Antonio Janigro Competition in Zagreb at twelve. Lomakov studied at renowned music schools in Odessa and Kiev under several distinguished teachers, which helped shape his refined technique and expressive style.
Lomakov has an active recording and performance career, often collaborating with other acclaimed artists such as flutist Atsuko Koga and harpist Marianne Le Mentec in chamber music projects.
