Lenna Bahule

Lenna Bahule is a Mozambican singer, songwriter, and cultural activist known for blending traditional sounds with contemporary artistry. Born in Maputo, she trained at the National School of Music and gained early experience backing artists like Stewart Sukuma before spending seven years in Brazil, where she deepened her exploration of vocal techniques, body percussion, and Afro-diasporic collaborations. Her 2016 debut album *Nômade* earned acclaim as one of Brazil’s top 100 albums, while her work spans projects like REVOADA and the *Nadawi EP*, merging indigenous language phonetics with organic instrumentation to celebrate cultural heritage. A 2019 Mozal Arts and Culture Award winner, Bahule also composes for media and leads workshops on Mozambican vocal traditions.

*Recent releases like "Nadawi," "Conference of the Birds," and remixes of tracks such as "Sande Kani" reflect her ongoing focus on cross-cultural experimentation and vocal innovation.*
