Endrik Üksvärav

Endrik Üksvärav is an accomplished Estonian conductor and singer known for his deep involvement with early music as well as contemporary Estonian compositions. He studied trumpet and French horn before focusing on conducting and singing, and he has been actively engaged as a performer and conductor in Estonia and across Europe. In 2010, he founded the chamber choir Collegium Musicale, which has quickly gained an outstanding reputation, winning prestigious European competitions and collaborating with celebrated composers such as Veljo Tormis, Erkki-Sven Tüür, and Tõnu Kõrvits. Üksvärav's dedication to promoting Estonian music internationally is evident in his leadership and frequent concert tours with Collegium Musicale, as well as his notable debut conducting a massive choir of about 20,000 singers at the Estonian Song Festival in 2019. His contributions were honored by the King of the Netherlands with the Order of Orange Nassau for his merits to society.
