Ville Valo & Agents is a Finnish musical collaboration between the charismatic frontman Ville Valo, best known as the lead singer of the internationally acclaimed gothic rock band HIM, and Agents, a legendary Finnish band renowned for their instrumental rock and rautalanka (a Finnish style of rock). Agents are led by guitarist and band founder Esa Pulliainen, who has been instrumental in shaping the Finnish rock scene since the 1970s. The collaboration between Valo and Agents blends Valo’s deep, brooding vocal style with the vintage, twangy guitar sounds that have become synonymous with Agents' music.

The self-titled album "Ville Valo & Agents," released in 2019, is a tribute to Finnish rock musician Rauli "Badding" Somerjoki. The project came to fruition after the discovery of previously unreleased lyrics by Somerjoki, which Valo then set to music with Agents providing their distinctive instrumental backing. Tracks such as "Ikkunaprinsessa" and "Orpolapsi kiurun" showcase the seamless fusion of Valo's melancholic melodicism and the classic Agents sound, resulting in a fresh yet nostalgic listening experience. The album was well-received in Finland, not only for its musicality but also for keeping the spirit of Somerjoki’s poetic songwriting alive through this unique cross-generational partnership.
